Framed White Pine Religion Study
From the Vault: White Pine Religion Study, matted and framed. Ready to hang right on your wall.
Sometimes I make little drawings before I make paintings. Not very often, but sometimes. You can see the evolution from the drawing to the painting here.
In 2019, I created this little drawing of the Porcupine Mountains for a painting in one of my very first What’s Good Project painting collections, which has since sold out. (Prints of the original paintings are still available here.)
The Porcupine Mountains, or the Porkies as they’re commonly called, is home to the largest old growth forest east of the Mississippi in the United States. Once 150,000 acres, it now stands at roughly 38,000 acres in Michigan.
